Pokhara is Located
200km west of Kathmandu.This tour takes
you to the famous valley of Pokhara
and explore its natural and cultural
diversity.we bikeearly to Sarangkot
and hike to the top for a magnificent
sunrise over the himalayas. Still further
is a village of Naudanda for the beautiful
panoramic view that covers the whole
range of the Annapurna and the Lamjung
massif.
Cost includes:
- Airport transfer, air ticket to
Pokhara
- Hotel in Kathmandu, Damauli and
Dumre with bed and breakfast basis,
packed lunch during biking days
- Chitwan, Tansen and Raniban Accommodation
on full board basis, Jungle activities
in Chitwan
- Mountain bike with helmet, water
bottle, biking guide with mechanical
backup and support vehicle.
Cost Excludes:
- Drinks and any items of personal
interest
- Insurance and emergency evacuation/rescue.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu-Transfer
in Hotel
Day 2: Drive to domestic airport and
fly to Pokhara. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 3: Bike up to Sarangkot . Then
ride to Naudada.Bike back to the Hotel.
Day 4: Bike througn the main town
Mahendrapul and turn right on off-road
after crossing the British Gorkha's
Camp, which is mostly mixed trail
with unless 2 or 3 short carry up
and down about 10min. in between Ghachok
and Lhachok after crossing Bhurjung
Khola and back again on Tarmac road
to Hemja (Tibetan Refugee Camp). Awesome
mountain views on this trail as Annapurna
South and Fishtail.
Day 5: Bike through Davids Fall and
cross the river.About 7km Jeep track
up towards Kristi Danda. Enjoy the
spectacular mountain views of Dhaulagiri,
Nilgiri, Annapurna and the majestic
Fishtail mountain. We turn towards
Nirmal Pokhari on fantastic off-road
with single trail down to the Seti
River and slowly head back to hotel
Day 6: From the hotel we bike along
the highway to Tansen and Butwal.
We cross right to the off-road climbing
approx. 3 km on Jeep track that goes
as far as 12km from the main road
and nice single trail will began with
technical down and ups through Biswa
Shanti Stupa (World Peace Pagoda)
to the dam side.
Day 7: Today we bike 10km to the Pokhara
- Kathmandu Highway and then turn
left to Begnas Lake. After lunch steep
climbing about 6km off-road up to
Kalikasthan (15-20minute carry up)
then 7 km wide Jeep track down to
Bijayapur Khola and continue on biking
on highway and back to the hotel.
Day 8: Ride up to Harpani and back
to the hotel via same way. Biking
almost attached with Fewa Lake on
your left. Bike back to the hotel.
Day 9: Today we ride from hotel towards
Begnas via main road. We bike to Talbesi
across the Sundari Danda from where
we can see both Rupa and Begnas lakes
on right and left respectively. From
here we climb steep uphill about 2
km with altitude gain of 100m and
again we have uphill of 2km with dense
forest and we reached to Saure Bhanjyang
where jeep track ended and we take
steep downhill walking trail washed
by monsoon rain but rideable on dry
season. We will bike via Baguwa village
to Karpurtar through beautiful rice
fields where the intersection of three
roads, one goes to Besisahar, one
goes to Sundari Bazar and one goes
to Damauli (Karpurtar to Damauli 38km).
We ride towards Damauli via suspension
bridge on Madhi and Mitini Khola and
stay in Damauli in a hotel.
Day 10: Today we ride to Ghansi Kuwa
(Grass cutter built well). From here
we take a left on the dirt red mud
trail and climb to Ramjung Ki Vardan
(5km with 310m altitude gain); an
old Rama temple over there. Then we
ride through single trek via Tanahu
Gaon and forest and reach Mel Danda
from where we can see towering Fishtail
mountain. After 1.5 hrs uphill and
downhill riding we reach Chainpur
Maibahal and take a rest for half
an hour and head towards Dumre. Overnight
in a hotel.
Day 11: Today we ride up and down
of 12km and reach Turture and cross
Marshyangdi river and we reach to
the deserted airport and ride uphill
and downhill to the Luitel village,
a remote village from where we can
see Fishtail mountain and Ganesh Himal.
Then we descend down to the Daraundi
Khola and after crossing the river
we reach Chepetar. From here it takes
us 1hour to get into the main Gorkha
road called 13km point and then we
ride to the Gorkha palace. We ride
around historical Durbar square of
Gorkha. Later our support vehicle
will pick us up for our return journey
to Kathmandu.
